CCC Camp, Blanco State Park, 1934
The men in CCC Company 854 lived in a camp situated south of the Blanco River and just east of the old State Highway 66 Bridge (66 connected San Antonio and Blanco, currently Loop 163). In the case of Company 854, the camp sat outside the park boundaries, but close enough that the enrollees walked to their park duties. (The original park entrance was positioned at the northwest end of the bridge.)
