Foot Locker, 1930s

Following standard military procedures utilized by camp military administration, this foot locker is typical of those issued to CCC enrollees to hold their clothing, toiletries, and other personal items. Many men personalized their trunk with various decorations other than the usual company number (3350 from Pennsylvania) and project number (G-69n at Orugrande near Alamogordo, New Mexico). Coming from Pennsylvania and assigned to a New Mexico camp, this enrollee may have spent much of his leave time in the El Paso/Juarez area.
