South Entrance to Granary at Nuestra Señora de Espíritu Santo de Zúñiga, Goliad State Park, c. 1939-1940

Masons from Company 3822(V) constructed a scalloped header for the relatively low southeast entry to the south end of the granary. They also chamfered that corner of the building and splayed the walls of the opening, a common design in the regional Hispanic vernacular architecture that allowed more light and ventilation into the space.
