Park Fishing Pier, Goose Island State Park, c. 2006
In 1936 State Parks Board planners designed a fishing pier and soon after the CCC constructed one. This photo shows the replacement pier that extends into St. Charles Bay, placed at the site of the original pier. From here, bird watchers flock to enjoy their pastime.
