Constructing Forms, Longhorn Cavern State Park, c. 1934 -1935

These sturdy forms were necessary to support the masonry during the construction of the entry arches leading to the grand staircase at the cavern entrance. The NPS architectural drawings provided instruction on how to construct the two separate arches necessary to achieve the pointed arch form. Construction work is also proceeding on the other parts of the building's exterior walls and staircase.
