Building the Rim-to-Floor Road, Palo Duro Canyon State Park, 1933
The first and most extensive CCC project at Palo Duro Canyon State Park was building a two-lane automobile road from the rim headquarters area to the floor of the canyon. Although the enrollees used dynamite and had dump trucks at their disposal, they also accomplished a good portion of the work by hand.
